Ridiculous Snacks I Want To Try

I am a sucker for adorable, colorful packaging and sugary stuff so I have a hard time resisting the snack aisle. Most of the time I remind myself that candy isn't food and I try to pick healthier treats so I don't feel so awful about my food choices but these are so tempting! I get really bummed out if they don't taste good though. Sugar is only worth it if it's amazing.
These are probably the strange chewy type of fruit snack. I like the ones that taste more like a gummy bear than fruit roll ups. That box though, so cute!
I love birthday cake ice cream, and birthday cake in general, but I am super skeptical about these. 50/50 chance they taste like sugary cardboard. May be worth it for the sprinkles. Possible cupcake substitute for a school birthday treat?
I just can't bring myself to pay for these but I am so curious. I did try the confetti cupcake and I was so sad because it does not satisfy a funfetti craving.
This stuff looks dangerous. Was this around back in the day? If so I totally missed it. I wonder if it tastes like Waffle Crisp. Nom.
I'm sure the marshmallows are good but the cereal is probably awful lol.
Same here, but it is so cute! Mornings are not my favorite so happy looking cereal is a plus.

Happy snacking!

Post Apocalyptic Thanksgiving

Otherwise known as Thanksgiving in a can.
Are you locked in your bomb shelter after the big one? Are you stocking such a shelter for the big one? Are you just feeling really lazy and unenthusiastic about Thanksgiving? Well, have I got the products for you.

This can has a 10+ years of shelf-life.  It is big enough to share with your bunker-mates or new-found zombie friends. And it comes with broth - perfect for constructing gravy with a little flour.  There is also the option of packet gravy. Oh, the choices in the end of days.

These are actually not bad as far as dried mashed potatoes go. Smothered in gravy you might not even be able to tell the difference.
Add some boxed stuffing and don't forget cranberry sauce.
Chose any veggies in your arsenal to complete the meal, but may I suggest the fava - I mean lima beans to add a little green to your plate.

You need a desert, and while pie crusts may be in short supply, you can always just attack the can with a spoon. Pretend it is pumpkin pudding.

Feeling depressed about the destruction of humanity? This is an option for the seriously down and out. Of course, you could always just give Dog Meat as a special treat instead.

Or if you are feeling to overwhelmed with RADs you can buy the simple option, but be aware that it doesn't include the pie-in-a-can.

And for bonus points, the perfect Thanksgiving condiment. Put a glob on everything!

Send Seriously Awesome eCards with justWink

Back in the day I loved sending and receiving cards from Blue Mountain. Recently I gave justWink a try and I am seriously impressed. The artwork that they use is adorable and they each pack a bit of sass and/or sarcasm - just how I like 'em!

JustWink cards are very straight forward. Each card has a front, middle and back and it opens just as an actual paper card would. When it reaches your recipient's mailbox it shows up in it's own virtual envelope.

There are no animations or music. I appreciate this! Sometimes I really like eCards with music and animations but other times I just want to read the message and smile.

In an age when many of us share email addresses more than actual physical addresses, these eCards can really come in handy. They are:

  • Delivered when you say so
    • Instantly or Scheduled
  • Variety of Address Options
    • Email
    • Facebook
    • Physical Address
  • Customizable Options
    • Personal note
    • Signature
    • Personal picture
  • Earth Friendly
    • Saves paper
  • Perfect for procrastinators
    • Include a gift card for last minute gifts
  • Wallet Friendly
    • Many are free or cheap
  • Mobile
    • Can be viewed on any device

If you download the Just Wink app then you can attach an eGift to the card from places like Amazon and Starbuck's. Pretty much the best presents ever. You'll save money on the card and packaging so you can throw in an extra $5 if your feeling generous.

If you like one of these cards but know that your recipient prefers paper cards you can actually send the card straight to their door with all of the personalizations included. Pretty spiffy! I want to try it out just because I can.

Note: Some of these cards are for adults only while others are totally PG. It's probably best to read the middle of the card carefully before you send it to make sure that it's appropriate for your recipient.

Hope that you are all enjoying this early Fall weather, I know I am!

Ripley's Believe It or Not - OMSI - PDX Fun!

Four legged chicken? Check. Shrunken Heads? Check. Works of art too small for the human eye to see? Got those too!

OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is one of our favorite family friendly places to go in Portland. The exhibits are always highly interactive and fun, and the Ripley's Believe It Or Not exhibit was totally memorable. This exhibit contained more art than most which I really enjoyed.

What a nice portrait of young Justin Beiber!
What? It's made entirely out of candy? Sweeeet.

Here is a gallery of our favorite exhibits. The captions should appear once you hover over each image. It might take awhile to load, but I love the Pinterest style layout. Comments can be seen if you click on the image to full the slideshow in full screen mode. I put it together with Cincopa :).

...

Hope that you are all having a great week! Mine is off to a great start. ***Knock on wood.***

Oh I Wish There Was a Uniqlo in Portland

Uniqlo's playful yet practical clothing is a welcomed addition to any wardrobe. There are so many pieces that I adore on the website which makes it hard to chose. Sometimes it really helps to try things on, especially if it is a new cut or color.

Since I don't plan on moving to Cali anytime soon I think it's about time that Portland gets a Uniqlo. I'm so sure that it would go over well here. I'm hoping that someone is already working on this! H&M is a huge success here and Uniqlo is pretty much the Japanese version of it. What could go wrong?

Summer is right around the corner. Welcome it with open arms by wearing sunny and bright colors. Bring on the sunshine!

Uniqlo's Colorful Looks

Pretty pastels are the perfect thing to wear on a happy day. It's hard to be sad when you're this adorable.

Uniqlo's Pretty Pastels

Navy is the new black again. It is slightly less hot and nearly as neutral. I like to mix it with black so I don't look too goth. Here are a bunch of different options.

Nothing But Navy - Uniqlo

If your lucky enough to live near a Uniqlo, enjoy it for me! When I do get the chance to visit one I'm pretty sure I will just freeze for a moment to admire the perfectly organized stacks of clothing, before I actually start shopping. So. Cool.

***Hope that you all have had a great start to your week***
