Trump the Trump

With all of the Trump  controversy out there I thought I would be topical for once and get in on the action. Ivanka Trump has a clothing line (and strangely, a little girl's shoe line) and some of it is pretty cool.

Dress 1 and Dress 2

She has not one, but two Wednesday Addams dresses. Is Ivanka Trump a secret goth?

Trippy

She has this super tripped out dress. Look at the faces in the zoom. Crazy! Someone has been taking acid.

Red

A dress that looks like it was made from a brocade curtain in the Wild West.

Crop

And I don't know what she was thinking with this one, but a dry-clean only crop top. Who dry-cleans their crop tops?

And I will end with this meme that has been generously donated by my man.

Sisters of the Black Moon

Sisters of the Black Moon is my new favorite online store. Too bad I will probably never have enough extra cash to spend there. Anyway, the items in this store  have a mystic, organic feeling to them. They have a comfortable simplicity that I want in my wardrobe. I am really into the idea of a tunic with thumb-holes. I may have to try and sew up a knockoff.

The store has more then just clothes - they have jewelry, too. I don't usually see jewelry I like, unless it features bugs of spikes. I guess the rose thorns are a little spiky. It reminds me of Morticia Addam's penchant for removing the roses to admire the stems.

This is not the most practical ring. It probably catches on stuff and rubs funny on your finger, but it is beautiful. It is called "chasm," and reminds me of some volcanic planet engulfed in the magic of the ancients.

I've always wanted a hooded coat for those sharp winter winds and this one is in my favorite color! I think the drape of the hood says "coven member." Quite metaphysical!

The also have candles and various potions for beauty. I like the product design of the Good Night Dust. I'm totally going to start calling any sleeping aids I take "good night dust." To me it evokes the image of fairies sniffing moon flowers.

You can find all of these and more at Sisters of the Black Moon.

Unique DIY Glasses

Donut Glasses
I have been wearing glasses almost everyday lately because I can't be bothered to go to the eye doctor to get more contacts. And honestly - I am starting to get a little bored with "normal" glasses. So, I decided to look up what people were doing to make their glasses more interesting.

These donut glasses were the most off-the-wall awesome I found. I mean, who even thinks of donut glasses? Food inspired wearables are the best! It also opens the possibility of painting your glasses any way way you want with nail polish. If you like donut inspired clothing, check out more at Studio DIY - she has lots of donut crafts.

Floral
This project seems pretty simple. I think you could do it with any little do-dad like button things. Imagine if you got a bunch of little lobster buttons! Okay, that might be a little weird.

I think these would be neat with some little daisies instead of roses. Then you could co-ordinate with the daisy stuff in KM's Post.

There's nothing more bad-ass than spikes on your glasses - just don't poke you eye out. It's just as simple as gluing on some spikey things. I found these other super awesome cat-eye ones here, but they said not so steal their image. So, I guess I'll still give them some free advertising without their purdy picture.

Octopi
I so want a pair of octopus glasses. I think I am actually going to try and fix a pair of broken glasses with this method. I think the clay might provide the extra something to keep the seam from breaking open every time I try to glue it.

Do you know of any creative ideas to make glasses more fun?

EBM: Electronic Body Music

I've been trying to work out more since I found out my cardio seriously sucks on a hike in Feburary. I've been doing some HIIT on a stationary bike since then. It took me a while to find the right kind of music to make the exertion tolerable. I tried my old trick of listening to Pimsleur language tapes, but it really only works with less intense exercise. I tried watching some anime, but I couldn't read the subtitles while my eyes were bouncing around. I tried some rock and some new-fangled dance music, but those just made me slow and irritated. Then I found the perfect mix of dance beats, cheesiness, and driving anger: EBM.

Don't get this confused with EDM, kids. It's a goth version of dance music that began in the 80's. It has a few sub-genres like future-pop, which I think are quite enjoyable. I drives me forward in my workouts with the fear of being chased by drugged-out, dystopian, cyborgs. I love it.

Belt Buckles

I recently got a belt that I can use belt buckles with. I got this bat one with the belt. I've been wearing it so much the past few weeks. I'm pretty sure the one here is identical, if you want to buy one.

This beetle one is huge and awesome, but not only was it super expensive, I don't think it is made anymore. It's a whopping 9 inches long - that's one way to make your belt feel looser!

Here is another beetle belt buckle that is only $16 and is in stock! It's not as big and unique, but it's still pretty cool.

Check out this angry unicorn! I don't think I've ever seen a unicorn look so badass.

I saved the best (or the worst, depending on your tastes) for last. I'm really digging the slobbery look of the teeth. It is totally a nightmare come to life in a wearable form.

And here is another artist doing a similar thing with eyeball belt buckles. Not quite as creepy as the one above, but this one is reminiscent of A Clockwork Orange.

I am so happy I got this belt. I can finally buy my atom bomb belt buckle that I have been wanting for a while. You can check out that buckle in this post. I've also been looking at wallet belt buckles to reduce the need for a bag, but I haven't found any that I think look that good. If you have any suggestions tell me.

In Love With... Anna Sui Spring/ Summer 2015 RTW Collection

Goth, hippie, mod, boho, celestial... Anna Sui's Spring/ Summer 2015 collection is off the charts gorgeous. If only I was a billionaire, I would give her all my money. Or at least a good chunk of it. Most of these styles actually look comfortable and wearable on top of being beautiful. And there are boots. Lots and lots of sexy boots.

Here are just a few of my faves although I would pin nearly the entire collection:

70's Style

aNNA sUI ss 2015 FAVES

Velvet and Silk

Velvet and Silk

If you follow the links below each group they will direct you to Polyvore where you can click on each individual look to see where they came from. From there you can find a few different versions of the entire collection from Vogue, Style and NowFashion.

I am especially drawn to the couples outfits. They are too awesome. Makes me want to go pick out semi matching awesome outfits and stroll around with my peeps like Mr. Fish and I used to back in the day. I bet I could find something similar thrift-ing - will take pics if I do!
